QUEEN VICTORIA'S TAPIOCA SEEDS BREAKFAST

It is not just the porridge or cereals that is eaten as a breakfast meal on the table. Cooked tapioca seeds blended with basic ingredients is a palatable meal too!

Tapioca is a staple food in some regions and is used as food additives. It contains nutrients such as protein, carbohydrate, fat and fibre that are essential to our body cells and tissues development.

Ingredients:
  • 7 dessert spoons of Tapioca Seeds
  • 1 dessert spoon ground rice
  • 2 dessert spoons of milk powder
  • 1 dessert spoon mixed fruit
  • 5 dried dates
  • 1 dessert spoon of sunflower seeds, ground
  • 1 dessert spoon of pumpkin seeds, ground
  • 1 medium-sized banana, sliced
  • 1 small-sized apple, sliced

Cooking Procedure:
  1. Mix the Tapioca, ground rice and milk powder well in a sauce pan. Add enough water to about half an inch above the mixture.
  2. Cook on a moderate heat.
  3. Bring to the boil. Stirring all the time. (To avoid burning)
  4. Add the mixed fruit and dates. Adjust the heat to low. Cook for 1 minute. Stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the ground seeds. Mix it well. Cook it for another 90- 120 seconds on a low heat. Check the consistency and add more water, if needed.
  6. Serve in bowls with the fruits on top.
